About YCI
We work in urban refugee communities where youth are grappling with drug and substance abuse, unemployment, and mental health challenges. Through our drug rehabilitation, vocational skills training, English language lessons, and mental health awareness, we aim to create a safe and supportive environment where refugee youth can rebuild their lives and contribute meaningfully to society.

Our Mission and Vision
Our Mission and Vision is to empower the refugee community by equipping them with a wide range of essential information, in-depth knowledge, practical techniques, and specialized skills, all of which are tailored to their unique needs and circumstances. This will enable them to not only effectively navigate and exploit the resources and opportunities within their environment but also to adapt and thrive in challenging situations. Through the acquisition of these tools and capabilities, they will be better positioned to overcome adversity, build a foundation of self-reliance, and foster resilience, all while cultivating a positive attitude and mindset that drives meaningful and sustainable change both in their individual lives and within the broader community, ultimately contributing to long-term social and economic transformation.

TESTEMONIALS
"As a refugee and addict, I felt invisible. Youth Cooperation for Ideas saw me, giving me a chance to train in electronics repair. Now, I own a shop and mentor others struggling with addiction. The program helped me recover and taught me to lead."
